Template terms

Template License

One purchase covers one end website or project for one business or one client engagement. Customize it deeply and collaborate on that project without reusing or redistributing the underlying source.

Effective date: July 29, 2026

What this license covers

This standard license applies to each PixelSunset digital website template sold with a one-site license. Your order receipt identifies the template and purchaser. PixelSunset LLC remains the owner and licensor of the underlying template; the purchaser receives the limited rights described here.

These terms work together with our Support Policy, Refund Policy, and Terms of Use.

For a purchase made through the Framer Marketplace, Framer's then-current Community Terms and automatically applied paid-content license control the product-license grant. This page explains the PixelSunset one-project policy and does not broaden or replace a mandatory marketplace license.

The license grant

Subject to payment and compliance with this license, PixelSunset grants the purchaser a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable right to customize the purchased template and use it for one end website or project for one identified business or one client engagement. The right to keep using that purchased version for the permitted project does not expire unless the license is terminated for breach or the order is fully refunded.

  • You may change the layout, styles, components, copy, images, CMS content, and other editable parts of the template.
  • You may keep reasonable draft, staging, backup, and local working copies used only for that same permitted project.
  • Reasonable redirects, domain aliases, and localized versions for the same business and project do not require another license.
  • You may display the completed end website in a portfolio or case study, subject to the business owner's permission.

Client work and handoff

A designer, developer, or agency may purchase the template, customize it for one identified client engagement, and collaborate with that client and authorized contributors who work only on the permitted project. Operational control of the completed project may be given to that client when the platform and controlling marketplace terms permit it. This does not transfer, assign, or sublicense the underlying template or create a second license.

The purchaser must give the client a copy of the applicable license and remains responsible for ensuring that collaboration or handoff does not expose or redistribute PixelSunset's original delivery files, reusable source, or unlisted Remix link.

A separate license is required

  • For each additional website, project, brand, product, or client engagement, even if it uses the same design or belongs to the same purchaser.
  • When the customized project is repurposed for a different business, brand, or client.
  • When a purchaser wants to offer multiple customers websites or products derived from the template.

What is not permitted

  • Do not sell, sublicense, share, publish, or redistribute the original template, delivery files, buyer guide, or Remix link.
  • Do not offer the source, or a lightly or substantially modified version of it, as a template, theme, starter, component library, UI kit, no-code product, or other competing digital product.
  • Do not make the source available through a marketplace, membership, repository, download library, website-building service, or client portal intended for reuse by multiple customers.
  • Do not extract included assets for use in unrelated projects unless the buyer guide expressly grants that separate right.
  • Do not remove ownership notices from delivery documentation or represent PixelSunset's underlying template as your original reusable product.

Ownership and customer content

PixelSunset retains all rights in the original template, systems, components, documentation, graphics, and other supplied materials. The purchaser or client retains rights in their own trademarks, business content, and independently created additions. Customizing the template does not transfer ownership of the underlying product.

Third-party tools and included assets

Framer, fonts, plugins, integrations, stock media, and other third-party materials remain subject to their own terms. The buyer guide identifies any product-specific asset conditions. Unless it expressly says otherwise, included visual assets may be used only as part of the licensed end website and not as a separate asset library.

The purchaser is responsible for maintaining the required Framer account and plan, replacing fictional or sample business content, connecting and testing forms, confirming rights to replacement media, and reviewing the completed website for accessibility, privacy, advertising, consumer, industry, and other legal requirements before publication.

Support and updates

Support is provided for 90 days under the dated Support Policy. If PixelSunset publishes updates to the purchased product's current major version, such as version 1.x, they will be made available to eligible existing purchasers through the delivery channel. No release schedule, future feature, major-version upgrade, or lifetime update service is promised.

Termination

This license ends if the purchaser materially breaches it and does not cure the breach after notice, or if the order is fully refunded. Intentional redistribution or resale of the source may result in immediate termination. After termination, the purchaser and client must stop using the template and delete the delivery files, Remix copies, and published website derived from them.

How these terms work together

  • For Framer Marketplace purchases, Framer's Community Terms and automatically applied paid-content license control the template-license grant.
  • For Stripe Managed Payments transactions, Stripe's Consumer Terms govern checkout, payment, applicable transaction tax, receipts, transaction support, disputes, and merchant-of-record remedies within their scope.
  • This page and PixelSunset's Support and Refund Policies govern product scope, delivery, product support, updates, and the cause-based refund process only to the extent they remain consistent with those controlling terms and applicable law.

No business-results guarantee

The template is a customizable design product, not a managed website, booking system, legal service, or promise of leads, sales, search rankings, accessibility conformance, regulatory compliance, or other business results. Rights that cannot lawfully be excluded remain unaffected.
